Prolactal

Prolactal GmbH produces and sells a large range of milk and dried whey products, as well as milk and whey derivatives, which are sold both as conventional and organic products. Prolactal's product range includes specialities for the chocolate, ice cream and baby food industries. The company has its registered office in <city w:st="on">Linz</city> (Upper Austria), its plant in Hartberg (Styria) and the sales office in <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Vienna</place></city>.

In its Hartberg plant, Prolactal produces whey powder with demineralisation levels of up to 90%, as well as hydrolysed whey concentrate for the beverages and ice cream industry. In addition to conventional milk and whey derivates, as an accredited bio-plant, Prolactal also offers products on the basis of organically produced milk and whey, which in particular are used for the children’s foods industry. The company has established an excellent reputation in the chocolate industry with its mixture business area. The high quality Cocoa Preparations pre-product is produced especially for the Japanese market. Moreover, Prolactal carries out contract drying using spray and rolling process. The company exports 75% of its products to customers in Europe and Asia (<country-region w:st="on">China</country-region>, <country-region w:st="on">Japan</country-region>, <country-region w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Korea</place></country-region>).   

The company co-operates successfully via its third-party research institute Biomerx GmbH with public research bodies such as the Vienna University of Life Sciences, a qualified development team constantly designing new products to exactly meet the needs of customers and technological processes.
