Global Marketing for the Foods Industry
In addition to its parent plant in Kaltenkirchen, Lactoprot Deutschland GmbH operates production centres in Leezen und Regensburg. The company has extensive experience in the development, production and marketing of functional milk products for the foods industry and numbers among the world’s leading producers of caseinates and milk protein products.
Production at the Kaltenkirchen plant, is focused on caseinates and employs optimised extrusion technology. In addition, the very latest mixing systems are available, which facilitate the production of products with customised compositions and characteristic functionality. Products from Kaltenkirchen are utilised primarily by the foods industry, generally as a single ingredient in the production of yoghurt, coffee whiteners, children’s foods, sports foods, diet products and wine and meat industry items.
At the Leezen location, a former dairy was purchased in 2003 and a new milk protein production established. The range of processing was expanded with the commissioning of a fully automated casein plant, which supplies the Artax Industry Group. In addition, roller drying and whey processing have been installed. The roller production for cream powder and crumb, a special product for the chocolate industry, commenced in 2006 and investments have also been made in enlarging the tank farm.
Production at the Regensburg plant centres on lactose, casein and mother liquor. The location in the Oberpfalz region represents an important source of raw materials for Rovita GmbH.
Lactoprot Deutschland products are sold worldwide via a tightly knit network of exclusive sales partners. In future, ongoing quality improvements with regard to milk protein and new product developments will continue to provide the basis for the fulfilment of special customer requirements.
